Last Saturday, I tried a no-spend day. The rule was simple: I could use things I already had, but I could not buy anything.

At first, I thought it would be boring. My usual Saturday includes a drink from a convenience store and a small snack I do not need but deeply respect.

In the morning, I made tea at home and read a library book. In the afternoon, I cleaned my desk and found two unused notebooks.

The hardest moment came at 4 p.m. I walked past a bakery and saw fresh melon bread. I stood outside for ten seconds like a serious statue.

I did not buy it. That felt like a small victory. I also learned that staying home is cheaper when the bakery is not watching me.
