Willow Street was once a quiet road with three stores and many empty lots. In 1952, a mechanic named George Miller opened the first bicycle shop there.

At first, the shop sold only repaired bicycles. Miller bought broken bikes, cleaned the parts, and built safe rides for workers and students.

The shop became important because the town did not have many buses. A bicycle helped people reach school, the market, and the train station.

Old photos show children waiting outside the shop on Saturday mornings. Some wanted new tires. Others only wanted air, advice, or a place to stand in the shade.

The original shop closed in 1988, but the street kept its habit. Today, Willow Street has three bicycle racks, a small repair stand, and a yearly family ride.
