The old cinema on Pine Avenue opened in 1964. It had only one screen and 180 red seats, but people in the town remember it clearly.

For many families, the cinema was more than a place to watch movies. It was where children met friends, teenagers had their first dates, and adults escaped work for two quiet hours.

Tickets were cheap on Wednesday nights. Local shops stayed open late because moviegoers often bought snacks after the show.

The cinema closed in 1998 when a larger theater opened near the highway. For several years, the building was empty.

Today, part of the entrance is kept inside the local history museum. Visitors can see an old ticket machine, a film reel, and one red seat.

The seat is not comfortable anymore, but many people still smile when they see it.
