Use this guide when you clean a shared desk lamp.

First, turn off the lamp. Unplug it from the wall. Wait until the bulb is cool.

Use a soft dry cloth to remove dust from the shade and the base. Do not use too much water.

If there is a mark, make the cloth a little wet. Wipe the mark gently. Then dry the area with another cloth.

Do not spray cleaner directly on the lamp. Cleaner can enter small spaces and cause problems later.

When the lamp is dry, plug it in again. If the lamp smells strange or makes a noise, stop using it and tell an adult.
