A town office has installed a new button for visitors. The button says, "Maybe later."

Officials say the button is for people who cannot decide quickly. When a visitor presses it, a soft sound plays. Then a small light turns on for five seconds.

"It does not solve the problem," one worker said. "But it gives people a moment to breathe."

The button became popular on Monday morning. One man pressed it before reading a long form. A student pressed it after seeing the word "signature." A mother pressed it when her child asked for a snack.

Some visitors pressed the button more than once. The office made a new rule: three presses are allowed, but the fourth press becomes a decision.

The town is now testing another button. It will say, "Ask me after lunch."
