Notice: The Automatic Door Is Too Quiet
A notice explains how to handle a door that opens with almost no sound.
Notice to all visitors: The front automatic door is now very quiet.
Last week, the door made a loud sound every time it opened. Some visitors jumped. One visitor dropped a sandwich. The sandwich is fine.
After repairs, the door opens almost silently. This is good, but it has created a new problem. People now think the door is being mysterious.
Please do not stand in front of the door and whisper, "How did you know I was here?" The door has a sensor. It is not reading your mind.
If the door opens before you are ready, step forward calmly. If it does not open, wave one hand slowly. Do not challenge the door to a staring contest.
Thank you for using the entrance safely. The door is quiet, but it is still doing its best.
