Review: The Noise-Canceling Spoon
A product review tests a spoon that promises a quieter breakfast.
I bought the Noise-Canceling Spoon because my cereal sounded too dramatic every morning.
The package promised "a peaceful breakfast experience." That sounded perfect. I wanted to eat quietly before school, not listen to tiny breakfast thunder.
The spoon looks normal. It is silver, light, and easy to hold. There is one small switch near the handle. When I turned it on, the spoon made a soft beep and became very serious.
Did it cancel noise? Mostly, yes. The cereal was quieter. The bowl was quieter. Even my little brother was quieter for about six seconds because he was confused.
However, there is one problem. The spoon also cancels important sounds, such as my mother saying, "Hurry up" and my phone alarm screaming from under a notebook.
For taste, the spoon changes nothing. For peace, it works too well.
Final score: four stars. I removed one star because I missed the bus very quietly.
