Students Ask for Nap Class
Students say a short nap after lunch may help them study better.
Students at Midori High School have asked their school to add a new class. The class is called "Nap Class."
The students say they are serious. Many students feel sleepy after lunch. They believe a short nap can help them study better.
"We have math after lunch," one student said. "My brain is still eating curry rice."
The plan is simple. Students will sleep for twenty minutes after lunch. They cannot use smartphones. They cannot talk. They can only sleep.
The students also made rules. Loud snoring is not allowed. Dreaming about homework is not recommended.
A teacher said the idea was interesting, but difficult.
"If we have Nap Class, we may need a Nap Test," the teacher said. "I do not know how to grade sleep."
The students are now collecting signatures. Their goal is 300 names. So far, they have 287 names and three cats.
The school will discuss the plan next month.
