Town Opens a Smile Counter
A town office opens a new counter where people can receive one smile.
A town office in Haruno City has opened a new counter. It is called the Smile Counter.
People do not buy anything there. They take a number, wait in line, and receive one smile from a staff member.
"Some people look very tired," the mayor said. "A small smile can help."
The counter became popular on the first day. Students stopped by after school. Office workers came during lunch time.
One student said, "I only came to see it. But the smile was pretty good."
There is one rule. A person can receive only one smile each day.
The town says this is fair. However, some people are already wearing different hats and trying again.
The office is now thinking about a second counter for small compliments.
