The Map Drawn in Chalk
A chalk map on the school rooftop points to a secret place.
Aya found the chalk map on the school rooftop after class.
It was drawn in blue and white lines. The map showed the school building, the gym, and one place that did not exist.
Kento came up the stairs with a notebook in his hand.
"Did you draw this?" Aya asked.
"No," he said. "But I saw the same mark in an old school photo."
At the center of the map, a small star was drawn near the garden.
Aya and Kento went downstairs. The garden looked normal, but one stone was warmer than the others.
Kento pushed it gently. A small metal box appeared under the soil.
Inside was a key and a note.
"For the students who still look carefully."
The key opened a tiny door behind the library shelves. Inside, they found old notebooks from past students.
Each notebook had one dream written on the first page.
Aya read one line aloud. "I want someone to find this room again."
Kento smiled. "Then we did."
When they returned to the rooftop, the chalk map was almost gone.
Only the small star remained, bright against the gray floor.
